What eSIM.dog is

Sells both a huge land catalog at keen per-GB rates and — unusually — a genuine Telenor Maritime satellite plan that works at sea on 150+ named ships and ferries. The cheapest way onto a ship network at $14.49 for 100MB, and the most expensive per gigabyte beyond that.

Why this code is worth more than 5% sounds

Most discount codes on this site apply to land plans priced within a few dollars of each other, where five per cent is loose change. eSIM.dog is different because of what it sells alongside them: a genuine Telenor Maritime satellite plan that works at sea, on 150+ named ships and ferries. Very few consumer eSIMs have that at all, and the ones that do are priced accordingly — so a percentage off a maritime plan is a percentage off a much larger number than a percentage off a regional pack.

The entry plan is $14.49 for 100 MB, which is the cheapest way onto a ship’s network anywhere we have found. That is the number the code helps least with in absolute terms and the one most people should buy: it is enough to confirm your own hull actually connects before committing to anything larger.

The catch, stated plainly

At roughly $104 per gigabyte, eSIM.dog is by a wide margin the dearest at-sea data on this site. A 5% code does not change that ranking and we are not going to pretend it does. What it changes is the cost of the small purchase — and small is the correct purchase here.

Two further limits worth knowing before you use the code. Coverage is per vessel, not per operator: a fleet-mate of a listed ship is not automatically covered, which is unusual and is why we publish the vessel list rather than the brand list. And the cruise plans are sea days only — there is no port coverage, so you need a regional eSIM as well. On a port-heavy Mediterranean week that second purchase does most of the work.

Where it beats the alternatives, and where it does not

It wins on two things. The 100 MB entry price, which nothing else matches; and its vessel list, which includes AIDA, Costa, Marella, Grimaldi, GNV and Anek — European and ferry operators the Cellular at Sea providers largely miss. If your ship is on that list and not on GigSky’s, this is the answer regardless of the per-gigabyte figure.

It loses on everything volume-related. GigSky covers both the sea days and the port days on one profile and is far cheaper per gigabyte, which is why it is our default recommendation — and the honest comparison is on the ranked list of everything that works at sea, where eSIM.dog places on its merits rather than on ours.

Before you use the code

  1. Check your exact ship against the published vessel lists. Per-vessel coverage means the operator name is not enough.
  2. Buy the 100 MB plan first and confirm it connects past twelve nautical miles before buying anything larger. An eSIM cannot be installed at sea.
  3. Add a regional eSIM for the ports. These plans do not cover them, and the port days are where most people use most of their data.
