A Baltic capitals sailing is a city-break tour with a ship attached: Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallinn, Riga, Gdansk in various combinations, each an overnight or short hop from the last. The distances are modest, the archipelago approaches to Stockholm and Helsinki are long and scenic, and you are ashore constantly.

What the ledger shows that the average does not
Four true sea days across ten, but the day that looks most like a sea day — the Stockholm archipelago approach — is one of the best-covered days of the trip. This is the itinerary where the brochure and the coverage map disagree most sharply, and reading the ledger rather than the day-count is worth real money.
Read down the data column and the split is stark: about 3.1 GB of the 4.1 GB is spent ashore across 46 hours off the ship, and roughly 1.0 GB is spent on the 4 days when no land network exists. Those two numbers buy different products at very different prices per gigabyte, which is the entire reason this site separates them.
What is priced in: maps, messaging, email, browsing and photo uploads. What is not: streaming of any kind, video calls of any length, and cloud backup left switched on. Any of the three will move these numbers by more than the difference between plan sizes. Metered maritime data is the one place on a cruise where a single evening of streaming can cost more than the plan did.
